This scared the Hell out of me

I encountered this over at the Rott. This is a little piece of "what if" writing but it's very plausible and kinda frightening given the direction the recent elections have sent us in. You know damn good and well that none of the currently elected idiots would ever see it coming and those that do will be labeled as crack pots and ignored.
