Read and Ponder

I keep hearing the jugheads in government denying that we are a nation at war with radical Islam. While reading today, I found a little something that disputes that pretty clearly. Well, perhaps we are not a nation at war with radical Islam, but they are sure as hell at war with us and have been for 35 years or so. READ.

Veteran's Day

I wish a happy Veteran's Day to all of my brothers and sisters Past, Present and Future.

I like This

I also think it serves as a warning to those who are abusing their power right now.

Everyone who reads this knows that I'm a Sci-Fi buff and I've been watching Babylon 5 again. There is a statement that is uttered by Narn Ambassador G'Kar after the Narn surrender to the Centauri. I think it's a perfect message to send to Washington right now.

No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments and tyrants and armies can not stand.

Ft Hood

I have no words to express my feelings. Fortunately, Mike Vanderboegh over at Sipsey Street doesn't have that problem.

What I've Learned

Today being my birthday, no, I'm not gonna tell you how old I am, unless you're a gorgeous single redhead with 2 doctorate level degrees, I thought I might want to share some of what I've learned over the years. This idea was made a lot easier thanks to my having shamelessly stolen this from Theo Spark.

You may well want to go get a kleenex before watching this. It seems to cause you to have something in your eye.

WOOOHOOOO Go Ford

Just spotted this and thought you'd be interested.

Ford, the only Detroit automaker to dodge direct government aid and bankruptcy court, surprised investors with net income of nearly $1 billion in the third quarter and forecast a "solidly profitable" 2011.

The automaker said Monday earnings were fueled by U.S. market share gains, cost cuts and the Cash for Clunkers program, which drew flocks of buyers to showrooms this summer. Ford's shares rose 68 cents, or 9.8 percent, to $7.68 in morning trading.

That's why I only buy Ford.
