How Sinful Are You?

Well, I'm not quite as bad as I thought, I guess.

Your Deadly Sins

Lust: 40%

Envy: 20%

Greed: 20%

Sloth: 20%

Gluttony: 0%

Pride: 0%

Wrath: 0%

Chance You'll Go to Hell: 14%

You'll die of a yet to be discovered STD.

Of course, a couple problems with this are that in order to go to hell I would have to believe that there is one in the spiritual sense and I don't but there is one in Michigan and it does indeed freeze.

The other is that dying of an STD requires contracting one and that's just not gonna happen in my current situation. Unless my hand is going somewhere I don't know about, LOL.

American Form of Government

You really need to watch this. All Americans do. This nation has forgotten what it is actually supposed to be.

Tactics

Let's have a little discussion of real world tactics. As we all should be aware, there was recently a shooting in a Burger King in Miami which left the perp dead but the citizen wounded. According to the report in the Miami Herald:

An afternoon shootout at a busy Burger King restaurant in Miami left a potential robber dead and the customer who shot him seriously wounded.

The bloody event unfolded about 4 p.m. Tuesday at the restaurant at Northeast 54th Street and Biscayne Boulevard. It was a time, employees said, when it is usually crowded with schoolchildren and people getting out of work early.

The robber entered wearing a ski mask. He approached a clerk, showed his gun and demanded money, said Miami police spokesman Jeff Giordano.

A customer eyed him and the two started arguing. The customer had a concealed-weapons permit and his gun — and the two exchanged gunfire.

The robber crumpled to the floor and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The customer, with several gunshot wounds, was in serious but stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Source: Miami Herald

Now the report specifies that the citizen said something to the slime before the shooting began. What I want to discuss is....

Do you order the slime to drop the weapon and surrender? Or, the weapon having been presented, do you just start shooting? Which is tactically correct? Which is legally correct?

I think it goes without saying that the legal part needs to be generalizations as each state will vary, but a baseline to operate on could be generated. I'm going to ask a couple of LEO bloggers to please pop over and weigh in on this. One is in Texas and the Other is in Ohio. *Update* I couldn't get a hold of the Ohio LEO, and I'm hoping Brigid will read this and say something, but with any luck, the comments are gonna go all Tam and Breda on you.

How do I vote? Well, I have to tell you that if I had more readers and was sure that a discussion would be generated, I would reserve comment until a few folk had weighed in. Since I don't generate that much discussion, I tell you that what I'd do is perform a surreptitious draw, set my sights carefully on the target, then double tap it in the chest. Then I'd dial 911. The slime already has announced it's intention to break the law and has presented a deadly weapon with which to back up it's intentions. At that point, what it is thinking is clear and it has now presented a danger to everyone in the immediate vicinity. I believe that any sane person would feel a justifiable amount of fear at this point so legally, you should be covered if your state (Michigan does) allows you to employ lethal force to meet perceived lethal force threats anywhere you have a legal right to be. Burger King would fit that description.

My opinion (as a layman, not an attorney or LEO) is that I would be tactically sound in not announcing my intentions and legally sound in engaging a perceived lethal force threat with lethal force.

Remember not to focus all of your concentration on the slime at the counter. There may be another nearby. Cowards like these often work on pairs or small groups. Continue to be vigilant to your surroundings.

Is There a Video of This?

This right here sounds like MY kind of honeymoon.

Preparing for Your Honeymoon

Whether it's by car, plane, train, ship or foot, take steps to stay safe and healthy during your honeymoon. Plan ahead. To lower your risk for illness and injury, check health scores for cruise ships; learn about common diseases for the area if traveling abroad; get vaccinations; and pack and use sunscreen, insect repellent, and appropriate safety gear for activities (such as helmets, life jackets, and knee pads).

Helmets and kneepads? Oh baby, that's how I know you love me.

Sorry, I was almost laughing too hard to finish that. It's hard to type when you're LOL'ing.

Funny, Frighteningly True, But Still Funny

Happy Day!

There's a couple fresh posts up from Syd at Front sight, Press. Get yer butt over there and read...and learn!

One of the things that struck me in one of his posts is that he talks about how frustrated he is over the recent shootings. The cops in Oakland being one. I agree, a horrible situation. It is very frustrating to be out in the world trying to defend the 2nd Amendment when knuckleheads like that are running around being...well...knuckleheads.

My biggest concern is that that frustration will cause us to begin to give up. That will not end well. The banners would love for us to become disheartened, to start to become so frustrated with the miscreants that our voice wavers. We cannot allow this! We must be louder than ever! These knuckleheads are one of the reasons we need to keep the 2nd Amendment just as it is and tell those elected weasels to leave it alone. If I'm at home and I see some dirtbag yank an AK out of his car and point it at a cop, trust me, he's gonna be taking fire in a big assed hurry. I will not stand by idly, or unarmed, when some dickhead tried to shoot up the mall. I'm trying to shop for some new books here asshole, you disturb that with violence, then I'm gonna get all shooty on your ass so I can go back to my book shopping in peace.

We cannot give ground. We absolutely must stand our ground against those who would usurp or rights. It is our primary duty as citizens and patriots to defend our country and our constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. We give those bastards an inch and we'll wind up in chains.

Well, maybe you'll wind up in chains. I have my Constitutional protection devices loaded and ready to go. they are inspected and cleaned once a week regardless of rather they have been fired or not. They are fired every time I can afford extra ammunition. They will only be given to the government bullets first, then picked up from the vicinity of my dead body. I took the oath in 1981, it didn't become less valid when I got out of the Navy.

I won't start it, this I promise. I won't run either.

Thinking

Those of you who know me know that one of the worst things that can happen is for me to become bored. That's what happened last night at work and the result is my thoughts on the current Naval situation in regards to our Navy and it's ability to project power.

The idea was given to me by another but I created the resulting image. If you want to use it, fine, just give me credit is all I ask.

Here We Go Again

I have so much to say then I read the folks on the blog roll and what do ya know? They already said it and better to boot.

Yep, a little lack of inspiration has struck the place. Go read the blogroll and I'm sure something will piss me off soon. Just don't forget to write your elected weasels to keep them honest while I find something to rant about.

Threats

We seem to be surrounded by threats lately. The outside threats are mainly Iran, China, the Norks, but in a chilling blast from the past, Russia even seems to be posturing lately.

Our internal threats are our own government.

First, I think we need to decide which threat is the most pressing and confront it. Being an uncomplicated person with cut and dried views, I think it's time to pump out the big white shithouse in D.C. I think there should be a strong and unified call for congress to resign and be replaced.

Once we have our house under control, we can look at threat mitigation for outside threats.

Controlling our house is not going to be simple. It's not going to happen quickly. We need many things to happen. Jobs are one real big one. The current administration is doing nothing to create jobs and working overtime to punish those who work to give to those who refuse and those who are criminals under the laws of this nation.

I have some ideas. I know they're simplistic, but at least I'm throwing them out there and perhaps someone smarter or wiser than I can use them as a starting point.

First, repeal the entire porkulus package. If I open a store and then over pay employees to put out bread that rots in a week, I'm going to go out of business. And I have no one to blame but myself, I did it to me. I can't blame Wal~Mart, they put out a better product and do a better job of controlling those costs they can. I do not deserve a bailout. Neither do the auto makers in Detroit. You want to "stimulate" the auto companies? Then you say, "hey, tell ya what, I'll let you not pay taxes for 5 years but in exchange, you have to ditch the UAW and stop paying outrageous salaries to people that don't deserve it". I bet they make that happen. Now we throw yet another angle at them. When you build those cars, you have to use plants that are physically located in America, you have to use American workers and you have to use American materials that were made in plants that operate under the same conditions (American located and American workers). By doing this, you have created a situation where American companies now have incentive to keep factories and workers American and it snowballs right down the hill to the suppliers. More people earning a wage means more money into the economy. Simple.

Government didn't have to do anything except create an environment that made the car companies want to fix their own house.

I would suggest closing the borders and deporting the illegal aliens. Let the states control their own borders under a mutually agreed upon policy based upon current federal law. See? More jobs created. Fence installers, patrol and enforcement people and all at the State level where it actually belongs. Since one of the outside threats is radical Islam, revoke the Visas of all Arab individuals and send them home. At gunpoint if necessary. Stop letting potential terrorists into the country.

The Mexican mess can and should be left to the Mexican government to solve. We have our own mess to deal with. If they cannot control it and it spills over the border to us, then we just simply kill all the participants on the spot. We will probably only have to do that once for the message to get across that North is not where you wanna go if you wanna cause havoc. That one is probably not going to be a real popular idea. I understand that, but I'm not talking about innocent folk here, I'm talking about Narco-terrorists that are attempting to take over a sovereign government to our south. The innocent folk are the ones caught in the cross fire. The idea is to pin these criminals against our border so the Mexicans can isolate them and round them up. If they cross, we shoot, plain and simple. Oh, you mean this might be dangerous for some of our folks down there? Yep, but if you look at it now, it already is and there's no stated policy to back them up. They could do their jobs and still get prosecuted. I bet we could enlist the citizen militia down there to help. That is, after all, their Constitutional purpose. Some of them are already there doing a fine job of observing and reporting.

We need to stop worrying so much about the idea of offending someone when so many in this world would prefer us to be dead or subjugated under radical Islam.

The outside threats? We clean our house first and once we have that taken care of, we deal with them as we must. Peacefully if possible and with extreme violence a'la Patton if not.

I know

I've not been posting regularly lately. I have a process, I watch news and read blogs then something pisses me off and I (W)rant about it. It's just that here lately...everything pisses me off. Now I have about 10 rants in my head but none of them pop to the fore.

I need a trip to the range real bad. Just gotta find some ammo I guess. It will be OK, Obama will pay my mortgage so I can by ammo. That rainbow farting, sack of gold shitting unicorn will be on my porch in the morning.

An Interesting Question

I was over reading Brigid and she has a post up about what all she takes to the range with her. I think it's a really interesting question so I think you should wander over there and throw in your 2 cents. What all do you carry to the range?

I intend to post pics of all my stuff in the next couple of days.
